Trump’s Relationship With Putin Has People Worried?!

(VitalNews.org) – Donald Trump’s relationship and growing partnership with Russian President Vladimir Putin has many officials concerned, especially with the upcoming election.

Many officials are worried that if Donald Trump wins another term, it would benefit Moscow and Russia while harming American democracy. There has been a growing concern after Trump was openly supportive of Putin saying that he was a “genius” when he invaded Ukraine. He also said that he would “end the war in a day,” leading many people to think he would help Russia to get a victory by cutting off aid to Kyiv.

Trump did not criticize Navalny’s sudden death or Putin’s potential role in it, but he instead compared this situation to the criminal charges that he faces. In a post, Trump stated, “The sudden death of Alexei Navalny has made me more and more aware of what is happening in our country.”

There have been interesting interactions between the two, even when Trump was actively the President of the United States, such as a meeting between the two in the Oval Office. A Mueller investigation also showed that the Russian interference in Trump’s 2016 election results was probable.

Fiona Hill, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and a national security official in the first two years of Trump’s administration spoke out against Trump saying that he thinks Putin is a “strongman” and looks up to him. Hill said that in terms of foreign affairs “Trump is shockingly ignorant” and added, “Trump rarely read materials he was given before meetings. Trump is less a threat to Russia, and more to the US given his approach to governance.”

Politicians and citizens have spoken out saying that the way Trump thinks is selfish and that he will never put the needs of the people or the country above his own.
