(VitalNews.org) – Experts have spoken out about Biden’s changes in the border control rules and standards that were put in place by Trump.
Experts claim that President Joe Biden has “unsecured the border” by reversing many of the laws that former President Donald Trump put in place to protect the border. People are blaming Biden for the immense border control issues in the United States right now because of his reversal of many of Trump’s plans.
The Director of the Heritage Foundation’s Border Security and Immigration Center, Lora Ries, criticized Biden, saying, “By ending Remain in Mexico, encouraging asylum fraud, and mass paroling illegal aliens, Biden has provided entry to millions of inadmissible aliens.”
There has been a lot of controversy and talk over the issues that are happening at the Southern Border. The immigration and border control issue has also been a main concern as the November election approaches, and many voters are looking at how it’s being handled in order to decide on their candidate. According to a Monmouth University poll, only 26% of Americans approved of the way that Biden has been handling the immigration crisis.
“By every measure, Biden took a secure border and intentionally unsecured it,” Ries said. Ries continued to say that President Biden “worked to systematically undermine America’s border security.”
Reports have said that there were about 64 Biden administration policies regarding the border and 16 of them were reversals of plans that former President Donald Trump had in place.
Another individual from the Heritage Foundation’s Border Security and Immigration Center, Mark Morgan, said that Biden’s decision caused “chaos at the border,” but he did say that some changes he put in place helped. He stated that he believes people looking for asylum should be able to go to the nearest safest country.
