(VitalNews.org) – Donald Trump spoke at a Christian gathering warning that “it’s the people from within our country that are more dangerous than the people outside.”
Trump’s speech took place in Nashville, Tennessee, and was held by the National Religious Broadcasters. They allowed Donald Trump to speak to a group of Christians to rally support from them, as Christians have quickly become a large supporter base for Trump in the last few years.
“The greatest threat is not from the outside of our country – I really believe it is from within,” said Trump. “It’s the people from within our country that are more dangerous than the people outside.”
Although Christians weren’t exactly fond of Trump during his 2016 election (they pulled more for Ted Cruz), Christians have become quite fond of him and are jumping behind Trump in support.
Trump expressed his position, saying, “In my first term I fought for Christians harder than any president has ever done before and I will fight even harder for Christians with four more years in the White House.” Trump also discussed creating a task force to counter “anti-Christian bias by investigating discrimination, harassment, and persecution against Christians in America”
He said that he would appoint more conservative judges and also that he was planning to move the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
With this said, some people are worried about what Trump will do if he wins the election this year as they are worried about his stance on immigrants, political revenge, and rolling back legal protections for minorities and LGBTQ+ people.
