BREAKING NEWS ALERT: Promises made, promises kept! President Donald Trump is keeping America safe by signing a travel ban that blocks citizens from 12 countries.

People from nations with documented terrorism links and inadequate security protocols are now barred from entering the United States.

Designed to protect Americans from foreign threats, the move immediately reestablishes one of the president’s signature first-term policies, which the Biden administration dismantled.

The presidential proclamation suspends entry to the U.S. for citizens of Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.

Seven additional countries, including Cuba and Venezuela, face partial restrictions.

The ban targets nations that fail to meet American security standards for identifying potential terrorists and criminals.

President Trump’s order follows a thorough security review and will take effect early next week.

It represents a significant step in fulfilling his pledge to strengthen national security and immigration enforcement.

The Supreme Court previously upheld similar restrictions during President Trump’s first term.

The highest court in the land confirmed the president’s authority to impose such measures under section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

National security experts within the administration cited multiple factors justifying the restrictions.

These include high visa overstay rates, lack of cooperation in information sharing, and significant terrorist presence in the affected nations.

Countries that improve their security cooperation could see restrictions lifted in the future.

The president wrote:

“As President, I must act to protect the national security and national interest of the United States and its people. I remain committed to engaging with those countries willing to cooperate to improve information-sharing and identity-management procedures, and to address both terrorism-related and public-safety risks.”

The proclamation includes reasonable exemptions for certain individuals, including lawful permanent residents, existing visa holders, persecuted religious minorities, and dual nationals with citizenship in unaffected countries.

Athletes traveling for major sporting events will also receive exemptions, demonstrating the administration’s balanced approach.

While drawing criticism from Democrats and left-wing organizations, the administration stands firm that the restrictions are based on legitimate security concerns.

“We will restore the travel ban, some people call it the Trump travel ban, and keep the radical Islamic terrorists out of our country that was upheld by the Supreme Court,” the president declared.

The travel restrictions align with President Trump’s broader immigration enforcement strategy, which includes intensifying deportations of illegal immigrants.

When announcing the ban, the president referenced a recent terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado, emphasizing the real-world consequences of inadequate vetting procedures.

“We don’t want them,” President Trump stated, highlighting his America-first approach to national security.
