The iPhone Is a Secret Weapon To Spread the Gospel

(VitalNews.org) – When Apple launched its first iPhone in 2007, the product brought with it a variety of applications, better known as apps. There were programs for gaming, banking, keeping in touch with friends, shopping, and exercising. They also allowed people of faith to practice their religions.

On December 26, CBN News announced that for the last 15 years, the iPhone has offered a free app that allows Christians to read their Bible, practice their faith, and even attend church from anywhere in the world — YouVersion Bible. In fact, this app has reportedly had over 500 million downloads since its inception.

But it’s not only those who practice Christianity that benefit from using apps, as there are programs available for a multitude of faiths, including Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Anyone who owns an iPhone can practice, participate, and share their religion with anyone they choose from wherever they happen to be around the globe.

As for YouVersion Bible, the app has reportedly stepped into the Metaverse, which is a space people can visit in the digital realm. In this universe, individuals use avatars to connect and visit places from the comfort of their own homes, making traveling (and church-going) even easier. According to Interfaith America, the Metaverse could be the future gathering place for all religions and an opportunity for those of different faiths to learn more about each other.
