BREAKING NEWS ALERT: During a peaceful rally supporting Israeli hostages held by Hamas terrorists, pro-Israel demonstrators were viciously attacked and set on fire with incendiary devices in Boulder, Colorado.
FBI Director Kash Patel immediately labeled the act a “targeted terror attack” against American citizens exercising their First Amendment rights while advocating for victims of Islamic terrorism.
Eight innocent Americans suffered burn injuries when an attacker hurled bottles containing flammable liquid at participants of the “Run for Their Lives” event at Pearl Street Mall.
The weekly gathering has been peacefully advocating for the release of hostages taken during Hamas’ October 7, 2023, terrorist assault on Israel that claimed over 1,200 Jewish lives.
Law enforcement quickly arrested the suspect, who remains unidentified as federal authorities prepare charges.
While media outlets have been hesitant to label this a hate crime against Jews, Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser suggested the attack appeared to be precisely a targeted assault on Americans supporting Israel.
Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn described the horrific scene: “When we arrived, we encountered multiple victims…with injuries consistent with burns.”
The event organizers, Run for Their Lives — Boulder, have been holding these demonstrations since Thanksgiving 2023, following Hamas’ brutal October 7 terrorist attack.
Their mission is simply to advocate for the release of hostages still held captive in Gaza, with 23 believed to still be alive nearly two years after their kidnapping.
Patel confirmed the seriousness of the situation, stating: “We are aware of and fully investigating a targeted terror attack in Boulder, Colorado.”
“Our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available,” he added.
This marks the latest incident in a disturbing nationwide trend of antisemitic violence since October 2023.
College campuses have seen pro-Hamas encampments while Jewish students report feeling unsafe.
Now, American citizens supporting Israeli hostages face literal firebombing on American soil.
Eyewitness Brooke Coffman described the chaotic scene with women suffering severe burns while bystanders rushed to help.
She expressed shock that such violence could occur in Boulder, a place she had previously considered safe.
“We are investigating this incident as an act of terror, and targeted violence,” FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirmed.
He signaled that the administration remains committed to addressing this attack with the seriousness it deserves.
The question remains whether this incident will receive the same level of media coverage and political condemnation as other hate crimes.
Governor Jared Polis issued a statement condemning “hate-filled acts” but stopped short of specifically addressing antisemitism or acknowledging the pro-Israel nature of the targeted group.
Federal prosecutors are now reviewing the case to determine appropriate charges. Some reports suggest prosecutors are also considering potential mental health issues.
As Americans await further details, one thing remains clear: supporting Israel and advocating for Jewish hostages in America has become an increasingly dangerous position to take.
