The Georgia-based restaurant chain dropped the 50-cent fee that had been squeezing consumers’ wallets since February.

The iconic 24-hour chain had reluctantly added the surcharge earlier this year when egg prices skyrocketed due to an avian flu outbreak that decimated chicken populations across the country.
At the height of the crisis in February, egg prices reached record highs, forcing many businesses to take drastic measures.
