Huge Deli Meat RECALL – Check Your Fridge!

Recall notice over grocery store shelves.

Americans have been advised to check their fridges immediately after a massive recall revealed that mystery meat is being hidden in their lunches.

Specifically, nearly 150,000 pounds of ready-to-eat bologna is being pulled from store shelves nationwide after government inspectors discovered undeclared meats in products.

The recall affects products sold at major retailers, including Walmart and Target.

New Jersey-based Gaiser’s European Style Provisions Inc. is recalling roughly 143,416 pounds of bologna after federal inspectors found the products contain meat or poultry ingredients not declared on their labels.

The affected items were produced between March 20 and June 20, 2025, and bear the establishment number “EST. 5385” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) discovered the issue following a complaint filed with the Office of Inspector General.

The products in question include “FAMILY TREE BOLOGNA VEAL,” which contains undeclared pork, “BABUSHKA’S RECIPE CHICKEN BOLOGNA,” which contains hidden pork, and “FANCY BOLOGNA,” which contains undisclosed beef and chicken.

Several other varieties have similar issues. Some “GAISERS BOLOGNA VEAL” products were found to contain undeclared chicken and pork.

Meanwhile, “GAISERS TURKEY BOLOGNA” also contains chicken and pork not mentioned on the labels.

What is particularly concerning for consumers is that some of these mislabeled products may have been repackaged at retail stores, making them harder to identify.

The USDA has released images of the original packaging to help consumers identify potentially contaminated products they may have purchased.

While no confirmed adverse reactions have been reported so far, health officials are taking no chances.

FSIS is advising consumers to check their refrigerators and freezers for these products and to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.

Restaurants and institutions have also been warned not to serve these products.

The scale of this recall highlights the ongoing challenges in the food supply chain and labeling practices.

For Americans with religious dietary restrictions or allergies to specific animal proteins, consuming these mislabeled products could have serious consequences.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them and to contact a healthcare provider if they are concerned about possible illness.

The FSIS will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available about this significant food safety issue affecting lunch meats in homes across America.
