A Deadly Plan Targeting the White House

The FBI says it stopped a multi-phase terror attack aimed at the UFC Freedom 250 event held on the South Lawn of the White House. According to officials, the alleged plan called for explosive-laden drones to strike buildings near the event.

The goal was to cause mass panic and push the fleeing crowd directly into the sights of a pre-positioned sniper team waiting nearby. A second wave of attackers then allegedly planned to rush the White House gates.

The bureau first learned of the threat on June 10. Agents quickly executed a search warrant in Cincinnati, leading to the first arrest. Some suspects reportedly traveled to Fredericksburg, Virginia, on June 12 or 13 to finalize attack preparations.

The FBI ran the investigation across at least 12 field offices nationwide, showing just how seriously agents took the threat. Five people are now in custody, and the investigation remains active.

Signal Chats and a Network of 23 Suspects

Investigators cracked open the alleged plot by examining a suspect’s iPhone. They found that at least 23 users of the encrypted messaging app Signal were discussing details of the planned attack.

One suspect allegedly told investigators the targets were “capitalist elites,” billionaires, and politicians tied to certain political donations.

No public court filing or indictment has been released yet, so the full scope of each suspect’s role remains unclear. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

FBI Director Kash Patel credited fast action by federal and local law enforcement for stopping the attack. “Several individuals are now in custody, and the planned attacks were thwarted,” Patel said.

He added that the FBI is built to identify threats, respond quickly, and bring justice to anyone who endangers American lives. Patel noted more details will be released when appropriate as the investigation continues.
