NEWS ALERT: America has lost a devoted Christian as a star known for his unwavering conservative values and unapologetic faith just passed away at age 79.
Duck Commander founder Phil Robertson, the beloved “Duck Dynasty,” fearlessly stood against the tide of political correctness and woke culture throughout his life.
He leaves behind a legacy that made him a hero to millions of conservatives across the nation.
Robertson’s family announced his passing after his battle with Alzheimer’s disease, which his son Jase had publicly confirmed in December.
The Louisiana outdoorsman transformed a simple duck call invention into a multimillion-dollar empire.
His wife and family shared a powerful statement celebrating his homecoming to the Lord.
Korie Robertson announced:
“We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord. Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life saved by grace, his bold faith, and by his desire to tell everyone who would listen the Good News of Jesus. We are grateful for his life on earth and will continue the legacy of love for God and love for others until we see him again.”
Robertson’s courageous stand for biblical truth made him a target of the intolerant left.
In 2013, he was briefly suspended by A&E after expressing his Christian views on homosexuality and sin in an interview.
The backlash against the network was immediate and powerful, forcing them to reinstate him.
Before his television fame, Robertson had an impressive athletic career as the starting quarterback at Louisiana Tech University, where NFL legend Terry Bradshaw served as his backup.
He later abandoned a potential professional football career to pursue his passion for hunting.
He developed the Duck Commander duck call in 1972, which would become the foundation for his family’s success.
“Phil Robertson was an American icon and an inspiring hero to millions of Americans,” said conservative leader Charlie Kirk, reflecting the sentiment of countless people who admired Robertson.
Robertson’s granddaughter Sadie shared a touching tribute, noting that one of his final messages to her was “full strength ahead!”
Texas Senator Ted Cruz honored Robertson’s fearless faith, stating, “He loved Jesus & he was utterly fearless.”
Robertson was indeed a vocal supporter of conservative political candidates, including Cruz and President Donald Trump.
He remained an outspoken advocate against abortion and other assaults on traditional family values.
In recent years, Robertson had battled multiple health challenges, such as a blood disorder, mini-strokes and a fractured back, in addition to Alzheimer’s disease.
His son Willie had previously shared the difficult update that his father was “not doing good,” preparing fans for the inevitable loss of this American icon.
The Robertson family plans a private service initially, with details of a public celebration of Phil’s life to be announced later.
As “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” prepares to return to television and focus on Willie and Korie’s family, Phil’s legacy will continue.
