President Trump has taken decisive action to restore patriotic truth to America’s museums and national parks by signing the executive order “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History.”

The order directs federal agencies and the Smithsonian to eliminate divisive content that has corrupted these institutions under leftist influence.

The executive order tasks Vice President JD Vance with purging anti-American ideology from Smithsonian institutions, including the National Zoo.

Trump’s directive specifically targets exhibits promoting controversial concepts that frame American history through divisive racial and gender lenses, which many conservatives have long criticized as indoctrination rather than education.

The act directly confronts the Biden administration’s push to inject radical ideologies into the nation’s premier cultural institutions.

Trump’s directive emphasizes celebrating true American achievements while prohibiting Smithsonian appropriations for exhibitions that “degrade shared American values” or promote divisive ideologies that distort common history.

Additionally, the executive decree mandates the restoration of federal parks, monuments, memorials, and statues that have been improperly altered or removed over the past five years.

This addresses the wave of monument removals that occurred during the Cultural Revolution of 2020, when radical activists targeted historical figures nationwide.

“Museums in our Nation’s capital should be places where individuals go to learn — not to be subjected to ideological indoctrination or divisive narratives that distort our shared history,” the President stated.

In addition, Trump’s order specifically targets exhibits that undermine traditional American values.

It criticizes the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s “The Shape of Power: Stories of Race and American Sculpture” for promoting the view that “race is not a biological reality but a social construct.”

The legislation also highlights problematic content at the National Museum of African American History and Culture that labeled concepts like “hard work,” “individualism,” and “the nuclear family” as aspects of “White culture.”

One of the order’s most positive aspects is its focus on the proper celebration of women’s achievements.

It emphasizes that the American Women’s History Museum should honor actual women without recognizing biological men who identify as women.

This presidential rule is part of President Trump’s broader effort to roll back the damaging Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives that flourished under the Biden administration.

By appointing citizen members to the Smithsonian Board of Regents who will support these patriotic policies, Trump ensures that national cultural institutions will once again reflect America’s greatness rather than apologize for it.

As the nation prepares for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Trump’s order includes provisions to improve Independence National Historical Park.

Hence, it properly honors Founding Fathers and the exceptional document they created.
