Trump Says Retail Theft Could Be Combated With Rough Police Work

(VitalNews.org) – At a recent rally In Pennsylvania, Donald Trump spoke out about retail theft and his ideas on how it could be prevented by police. He stated that “one rough hour” of enforcing the law would bring an end to retail theft.

Donald Trump recently spoke out saying that the U.S. crime has increased under Joe Biden, which was a false claim. He’s also said that he has seen places in New York City and San Francisco locking up their merchandise behind glass doors due to potential theft in the area.

“See, we have to let the police do their job. And if they have to be extraordinarily rough –” Trump said at the rally, trailing off as the audience applauded.

Trump started saying, without evidence, that people are walking out of stores with air conditioning units and refrigerators “on their back,” because “police aren’t allowed to do their job.”

”They’re told if you do anything,” he said, “you’re going to lose your pension; you’re going to lose your family, your house, your car. The police want to do it. The Border Patrol wants to do it. … They’re not allowed to do it because the liberal left won’t let ’em do it.”

Donald Trump even blamed Kamala Harris for reclassifying felony theft as a misdemeanor if under nine hundred and fifty dollars. However, this is a false claim as it wasn’t her decision, and it was a proposition approved by California voters.

He even went on to say that he recently had a tenant end a lease because of retail theft, and that all it would take is “one rough hour – and I mean real rough…” to end crime “immediately.”
