Trump Says He Has No Choice But To Support EVs After Musk Endorsement

(VitalNews.org) – Donald Trump has been a harsh critic of electric vehicles, but after Elon Musk’s endorsement of Trump, that might change. Donald Trump has stated that he has “no choice” but to support EVs after Elon Musk endorsed him.

Trump stated, “I’m for electric cars, I have to be because Elon endorsed me very strongly.” He continued on to say that electric vehicles were suitable for a “small slice” of people and that “you want every type of car imaginable” to be available for people.

According to Trump, we would need nine trillion dollars to build a network of electric car chargers. Joe Biden has stated that he would be building five hundred thousand chargers, but this is much less than the approximate twenty-eight million that would be needed.

Elon Musk, the chief executive of Tesla, has been a major supporter and source for the electric vehicle business in the U.S. Trump and Musk haven’t always been on the same page as Donald Trump has spoken against electric vehicles and Elon Musk hasn’t always been a right-wing supporter.

Following issues with the Democratic Party, Elon Musk stated that he would be endorsing Donald Trump and the Republican Party; he also said that he would be donating to a Super Pac that is supporting Trump’s campaign.

Electric vehicles are on the rise and there are many factors in motion to continue their growth. However, there is still a lot to work on before electric vehicles become the main vehicle type in the United States.
