Trump Adds RFK Jr. to His Transition Team

(VitalNews.org) – Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard have now joined Donald Trump’s transition team.

Trump campaign’s senior adviser Brian Hughes said, “As President Trump’s broad coalition of supporters and endorsers expands across partisan lines, we are proud that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard have been added to the Trump/Vance Transition team.”

Hughes continued, “We look forward to having their powerful voices on the team as we work to restore America’s greatness.”

Kennedy was a recent opponent of Donald Trump and was even a subject of Trump’s name-calling. The switch to join Trump’s transition team sparked debate, controversy, and even shocked many who are looking in from the outside.

It’s not clear what role they will play in the transition, but some other members of his transition team include family members, and some of his major donors.

Gabbard joined Donald Trump in Detroit and she is expected to join him and moderate a town hall in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She has been helping Trump to prepare for his debate with Vice President Kamala Harris.

Kennedy told Tucker Carlson, a former Fox News host, during an interview that Trump asked him if he would join his transition team if he wins the presidency this election.

Kennedy stated, “I’ve been asked to go on the transition team, you know, and to help pick the people who will be running the government.”

Kennedy suspended his campaign on Friday and quickly put out his endorsement for Trump. He also said he’d be removing himself from the ballot in states where Trump’s chances at winning the election would be hindered by his running.
