Bruce Springsteen’s recent concert in Manchester turned from a musical event to a political podium as he slammed President Trump and called him ‘Corrupt, Incompetent and Treasonous’
See the video below.
He chose to lecture foreign audiences about American politics rather than entertain his fans who paid to hear music.
Springsteen’s political tirade occurred during his “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour stop in Manchester, England.
Instead of focusing on the music that made him famous, the 75-year-old musician used his international platform to attack President Trump and the millions of patriotic Americans who support the current administration.
“In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration,” Springsteen declared.
The “Born in the USA” singer has long abandoned the working-class Americans who first propelled him to stardom, instead choosing to align himself with the Democrat establishment and coastal elites who look down on heartland values.
His outburst comes as no surprise to conservatives familiar with his political history.
Springsteen has been a vocal Democrat supporter for years, campaigning for Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris.
He even co-created a podcast with Obama, further cementing his status in the liberal echo chamber.
Springsteen continued his partisan attack during his concert by urging the crowd to “rise with us, raise your voices against authoritarianism and let freedom ring!”
Furthermore, this is not the first time Springsteen has shown contempt for conservative Americans.
During the 2016 campaign, he called Trump a “moron” and has continued his attacks throughout Trump’s presidency and into the current election cycle.
Most recently, he supported then Democrat candidate Kamala Harris while accusing Trump of aspiring to be an “American tyrant.”
The rocker’s decision to launch political attacks from foreign soil raises serious questions about his patriotism.
Rather than respecting the office of the presidency while overseas, Springsteen chose to undermine America’s standing by feeding anti-American sentiment to foreign audiences.
Springsteen’s next release, “Tracks II: The Lost Albums,” is set for June 27th.
Given his increasingly divisive political statements, many conservatives may choose to skip this release from an artist who clearly holds their values in contempt.
Until July, Springsteen’s “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour offers an arena for blending his musical prowess with outspoken activism.
As he goes forward, conservatives might wonder if his on-stage ventures into political commentary detract from the timeless music simply meant to unite, not to divide.
