Pizza Shop DISASTER – 60 Customers Affected!

(VitalNews.org) – In an alarming turn of events, a small-town Wisconsin pizzeria made a shocking mistake that left dozens of residents unknowingly consuming THC-infused pizzas.

Between October 22 and October 24, 2024, Famous Yeti’s Pizza in Stoughton unknowingly contaminated around 60 pizzas with THC, the primary psychoactive component in marijuana.

The glaring mistake sent several customers to the hospital and potentially exposed children to drug-laced food.

The contamination occurred when THC-infused oil, which came from a shared storage space in a cooperative commercial kitchen, was used in the pizza dough by mistake.

The shocking error came to light after staff and customers reported weird physical reactions, which prompted an investigation by Stoughton Police and local health officials.

Several customers were hospitalized after consuming the contaminated pizza, with Stoughton EMS responding to multiple calls for THC-related symptoms.

Famous Yeti’s Pizza owner Cale Ryan admitted to the gravity of the situation, stating, “We put people and families at risk and frightened and confused children and parents.”

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of shared kitchen spaces and the potential for cross-contamination with cannabis products.

It is worth noting that while cannabis remains illegal in Wisconsin, products containing 0.3% or less Delta-9 THC derived from hemp are legal.

This loophole in the law may have made it possible for THC-infused products to get into products in the shared kitchen facility.

In response to the crisis, Famous Yeti’s Pizza has pledged to improve its safety protocols and has destroyed all contaminated products. Ryan has also committed to banning Delta-9 and related substances from the facility.

As more states move to legalize marijuana, it is necessary to implement strict regulations and safety measures to protect unsuspecting consumers, especially children, from accidental exposure to these psychoactive substances.
