Military Chief: ‘The Third World War Has Begun’

(VitalNews.org) – Former Ukrainian military chief Valery Zaluzhny has sounded the alarm: “The Third World War has begun.”

With North Korea, Iran and China backing Russia, the global threat to American interests is escalating quickly.

Now Ukraine’s envoy to the U.K., Zaluzhny issued his warning at a recent award ceremony in Kyiv.

“I believe that in 2024 we can absolutely believe that the Third World War has begun,” he declared.

The threat is not just theoretical as reports reveal that around 10,000 North Korean soldiers are already fighting alongside Russian troops in the Kursk region.

The fact North Korean military personnel are directly involved marks a significant escalation in the conflict and a clear violation of international norms.

Additionally, Iran’s role in the chaos cannot be overlooked. The Islamic regime has supplied Russia with thousands of Shahed attack drones and the technology to build them.

These Iranian-developed weapons have been used to target both civilian and military sites in Ukraine, with over 8,000 launched since the war began.

“Let’s be honest. Already in Ukraine, the Iranian ‘Shahedis’ are killing civilians absolutely openly, without any shame,” Zaluzhny said.

While the Biden-Harris administration continues to downplay the threats, Russia is ramping up its military capabilities.

Russia recently deployed a hypersonic missile named ‘Oreshnik’ in Dnipro, showcasing the country’s advanced weaponry.

This missile is capable of traveling at 10 times the speed of sound and poses a significant challenge to Ukrainian air defenses. It could also reach most of Europe and even the U.S. West Coast.

Moscow’s ambassador to the U.K. has accused Britain of being “directly involved” in the war after Ukraine used Storm Shadow missiles against Russian territory.

This escalation of Western support for Ukraine risks drawing NATO countries into a direct confrontation with Russia and its allies.

Zaluzhny’s warning comes at a critical time. He urges Ukraine’s allies to increase their support to influence the war’s outcome, recognizing the global stakes of this conflict.
