Kelsey Grammer Supports Trump but Sees Interview Cut Short

( – In a recent interview with the BBC, actor Kelsey Grammer said he still supports former President Donald Trump, although the interviewer later clarified after its publication that the interview was cut short before Grammer could elaborate on his position on the record.

During an appearance on BBC Radio 4, journalist Justin Webb asked the actor if he still supported the former president, to which Grammer replied affirmatively and said, “Let that be the end of it.”

Despite this terse reply, Webb later revealed to Yahoo UK that Grammer was actually “perfectly happy to go on talking about it.” Webb admitted that public relations personnel from Paramount+ were “less happy” that Grammer spoke about Trump “at some length” and decided Webb and Grammer were given “plenty of time” for their interview.

Webb stressed that despite the decision to cut the interview short, the actor was actually “perfectly happy” to continue discussing his support for Trump, including “in the coming election.” Although he’s admitted that he believes Trump is “a bit of a brat,” the 68-year-old actor also aligns with many of the former president’s policies.

Grammer also defended sitcom veteran and comedian Roseanne Barr, who’s also been open about her support of Trump. Barr’s sitcom reboot was canceled after a few months in 2018 after she made an offensive joke about former President Barack Obama.

Grammer is best known for his role as the title character Frasier Crane in the hit sitcom “Frasier,’ which ran from 1993 to 2004 and was recently revived for a spin-off in 2023. The character was originally introduced in the sitcom “Cheers,” which ran from 1984 to 1993.

Trump currently faces a total of 91 charges from four separate indictments related to mishandling classified documents, election interference, conspiracy, fraud, and more. The criminal charges don’t seem to be harming his campaign, though, as Trump remains the Republican front-runner for the 2024 presidential nomination, leagues ahead of all the other GOP candidates.
