Kamala Harris Unveils New $50,000 Tax Deduction for Small Businesses

(VitalNews.org) – Vice President of the United States and Democratic Presidential Nominee Kamala Harris has just unveiled a tax deduction up to fifty thousand dollars for small businesses.

Harris’s plan is supposed to be officially announced in New Hampshire where she will also announce a new goal of twenty five million new small business applications during her first four years in office, if she’s elected.

As of now, small businesses can claim up to five thousand dollars for expenses related to their first year of operation. Harris has often spoken about small businesses and her goal to continue growing them in the U.S.

Harris said, “Half of America’s working population either owns, runs, or works in a small business.”

Since taking over the Democratic nomination, Harris has faced scrutiny for laying out very few policy positions and also not taking questions from the media.

Harris has been pushing her economic agenda to focus on the middle class. She set out new economic policies last month that’s supposed to build an “opportunity economy” which would include twenty five thousand dollars for first time home buyers and a six thousand dollar tax benefit for newborns.

Her policies are most in line with what President Joe Biden has continued to support while he’s been in office. However, there’s still been some criticism over the fact that she’s not done much in policies and she hasn’t pushed for economic policies since taking over as the Democratic nominee.
