Huge MEAT RECALL – Check Your Fridge!

Yellow sign with RECALL text against blue sky.

(VitalNews.org) – Exposing yet another instance of regulatory failure, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a massive recall of over 10,000 pounds of pork products.

The recall involves two separate incidents, both highlighting the shortcomings of the current food safety system.

Baltimore-based company Impero Foods & Meats, Inc. is recalling a staggering 7,485 pounds of raw pork sausage products due to a complete lack of federal inspection.

This oversight puts thousands of Americans at risk of consuming potentially unsafe meat products.

The affected products include 10-lb white cardboard box cases of “Old World Italian Sausage” with “rope” or “link” handwritten on the case.

They also have the establishment number “EST. 10827” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

These products have been distributed to restaurants and retailers across Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania, potentially exposing countless consumers to health risks.

While no illnesses have been reported yet, the fact that these products made it to market without proper inspection is a testament to the failures of America’s bloated bureaucracy.

The recall was issued even though the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) claims it conducts recall effectiveness checks.

Adding to the concerns, Ralph’s Packing Company in Oklahoma is recalling 3,132 pounds of their Garlic Bologna due to undeclared dairy allergens.

This mislabeling fiasco puts those with dairy allergies at risk of severe reactions, including potentially life-threatening anaphylaxis.

The bologna may have been sold at deli counters in Oklahoma since September 2022, leaving consumers exposed for over two years year.

The recall affects four U.S. states: Oklahoma, Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Consumers are now left to fend for themselves with just an advisory to dispose of any matching raw sausage products and consult healthcare providers if they experience illness.

Those with milk allergies are warned not to consume the bologna and to return it for a refund.
