(VitalNews.org) – Texas has taken a bold step to support President-elect Donald Trump’s immigration agenda by offering 1,400 acres of land for deportation efforts.
This move sets Texas apart from liberal states that continue to transform into safe havens to protect illegals.
Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham offered Trump a 1,402-acre parcel of rural ranchland in Starr County along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Texas recently purchased the parcel as part of its proactive approach to enhance border security.
Commissioner Buckingham emphasized the strategic importance of this land offer, stating:
“By offering this newly-acquired 1400-acre property to the incoming Trump Administration for the construction of a facility for the processing, detention, and coordination of what will be the largest deportation of violent criminals in our nation’s history, I stand united with President Donald Trump to ensure American families are protected.”
Buckingham added that Texas is “100% on board with the Trump administration’s pledge to get these criminals out of our country.”
With around 11 million people in the U.S. illegally, this land offer provides a crucial starting point for the massive deportation operation.
The property is nearly twice the size of New York City’s Central Park and ideal for Trump’s ambitious deportation plans.
It is located in the Rio Grande Valley, which makes it easy for law enforcement and border patrol agents to access.
This generous offer from Texas stands in stark contrast to the obstructionist policies of Democrat-controlled states.
For instance, California, Arizona and New Mexico have pledged to resist federal immigration enforcement efforts.
Texas has long supported aggressive border measures. It built razor-wire barriers and passed laws that made it possible to arrest illegals.
Although it has not yet confirmed it would accept Texas’ offer, the Trump transition team has restated plans for a large-scale deportation operation.
White House press secretary nominee Karoline Leavitt declared, “On day one, President Trump will marshal every lever of power to secure the border, protect their communities, and launch the largest mass deportation operation of illegal immigrant criminals in history.”
Texas’ land acquisition has already yielded positive results in combating cartel-related activities.
The property includes Fronton Island, previously a hotspot for human trafficking and cartel violence. Since securing the island, these criminal activities have ended.
