(VitalNews.org) – As leftist extremists target the company, the FBI launched a domestic terrorism task force to combat the recent surge of violent attacks against Tesla.
With 48 incidents this month alone involving arson, gunfire, and planned protests, law enforcement agencies are now treating these coordinated attacks as acts of domestic terrorism requiring a nationwide response.
The violence comes as a vicious response to Elon Musk’s support of President Donald Trump.
The FBI task force includes personnel from the ATF and the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division.
It has been established to investigate and prosecute those responsible for the growing wave of violence.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced the formation of the specialized team after attacks have escalated across the country, with perpetrators leaving behind evidence of their anti-Tesla and anti-Musk motivations.
“Acts of violence, vandalism, and domestic terrorism — like the recent Tesla attacks — will be pursued with the full force of the law,” he said.
One of the most alarming incidents occurred in Las Vegas, where five Tesla vehicles were set on fire and riddled with bullet holes.
In Austin, police discovered multiple incendiary devices planted at a Tesla showroom, narrowly preventing a potentially catastrophic explosion.
The FBI is using security footage and cell phone data to track down suspects in these and other unsolved cases.
Three individuals have already been arrested and are facing serious federal charges that could result in up to 20 years in prison.
Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Justice Department have taken a strong stance on prosecuting these cases to the fullest extent of the law.
These attacks coincide with Musk’s appointment to President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
This turn of events suggests a politically motivated campaign against the billionaire entrepreneur.
FBI investigators have identified a website called “Dogeque.st” that was being used to doxx Tesla employees and executives, operated from a server in the African nation of Sao Tome before it was forced offline. It has since resurfaced on the dark web.
Another disturbing discovery was a website featuring a map of Tesla locations nationwide with a Molotov cocktail cursor, clearly intended to encourage further attacks.
The FBI has also been investigating an anarchist blog in Salt Lake City and a group calling themselves Tesla Takedown.
The group is organizing protests at Tesla showrooms and Supercharger stations scheduled for March 29.
In response to the attacks, Musk said:
“It’s really come as quite a shock to me that there is this level of real hatred and violence from the left. I thought the left, you know, Democrats, were supposed to be the party of empathy, the party of caring. And yet they’re burning down cars. They’re firebombing dealerships. They’re firing bullets into dealerships. They’re just smashing up Teslas.”
President Trump has taken a firm stance against the perpetrators, promising severe consequences for those involved in the attacks.
The establishment of the FBI task force demonstrates the administration’s commitment to protecting American businesses from ideologically motivated violence.
The attacks have already had economic consequences. Tesla’s stock price and sales are declining as the company faces delivery projections down by over 4% in the first quarter.
