VIDEO: Farmers BLOCKADE – Tax Protest!

Yellow road sign reading taxes ahead clouds background

(VitalNews.org) – Standing up to the socialist government threatening their livelihoods, farmers in the U.K. are protesting a crushing inheritance tax that would destroy the country’s food supply.

Hundreds of patriotic farmers drove their tractors into the streets of London, blocking roads and demanding that Prime Minister Keir Starmer reverse course on this destructive policy.

The government’s latest assault on hard-working farmers could force the sale of farms that have been in families for generations, all to fund its radical leftist agenda.

The proposed 20% inheritance tax on farms worth over £1 million would go into effect in April 2026, potentially wiping out family legacies and jeopardizing Britain’s food security.

While Starmer and his cronies claim only a small number of farms will be affected, tax experts and agricultural associations warn the impact will be far more widespread.

The Central Association of Agricultural Valuers suggests that many more farms will be hit than what Treasury estimates, exposing the government’s dishonesty.

This attack on farmers comes as they already face immense pressure from competitive supermarkets, cheap imports and cuts to subsidies following Brexit.

Now, the government wants to deliver a final blow by forcing families to sell off land just to pay sky-high death taxes.

“It’s not money. This is a lifetime of work, its the heritage and the custodianship of their farm,” stated National Farmers’ Union (NFU) president Tom Bradshaw.

The mental toll on farmers cannot be overstated. Bradshaw warned of increased suicide risk as farmers face losing everything they have worked for.

Conservative MPs are rightly calling out Starmer. Jerome Mayhew confronted the Prime Minister, quoting Starmer’s own words to farmers: “Losing a farm is not like losing any other business. It can’t come back.”

This tax grab threatens Britain’s food security at a crucial time when self-sufficiency is crucial. Last year, the U.K. was only 75% self-sufficient in domestically growable food.

Forcing more farming land to be sold off will only exacerbate the problem and leave the nation vulnerable.

Farmers are pleading with the government to delay implementation and allow for proper consultation.
