DOJ Issues Indictment Of Top Biden Whistleblower

(VitalNews.org) – The whistleblower who claimed he brought sensitive information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) about business dealings between the Biden family and China may end up serving decades in prison time for allegedly trafficking weapons and other charges.

According to federal prosecutors in New York City, 57-year-old Gal Luft, who is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Israel, is being charged with violating sanctions by attempting to sell oil from Iran and acting as an agent for China.

A grand jury handed down the indictment in 2022 which was unsealed on Monday. In it, Luft is accused of the recruitment and payment of a former government official from the U.S. on behalf of China-based principals while not being legally registered as a foreign agent.

The former high-ranking official was not identified by prosecutors, but they claim he used to be employed as an advisor to former President Donald Trump during Trump’s time in office. Luft is being accused of encouraging the adviser to advocate for favorable policies for China.

In February, Luft was arrested on U.S. charges in Cyprus. After being released on bail and awaiting extradition, Luft fled to avoid U.S. custody.

Days before the indictment, Luft recorded a 14-minute testimonial from an undisclosed location which was published by The New York Post. Luft claims that his arrest in Cyprus was intended to prevent him from testifying before the House Oversight Committee about the Biden family accepting bribes from a source connected to China’s military.

Luft claims in the video that he gave the information to the Department of Justice and the FBI during a meeting in March 2019, which he said took place in Brussels and was subsequently covered up.

According to prosecutors, Luft helped broker a deal between Chinese arms dealers and other foreign nations, such as Kenya and Libya, without having the proper license.
