BREAKING NOW: What should have been a fun night out turned into a deadly nightmare when a nightclub ceiling collapsed, killing 13 people and injuring 90 others.

Watch the video down below.

The incident took place at Jet Set Club in the Dominican Republic. The roof gave way during a packed event, prompting emergency responders to rush to free survivors trapped beneath the rubble.

The horrific tragedy unfolded earlier today when the ceiling of the Santo Domingo nightclub suddenly came crashing down on unsuspecting patrons.

Videos circulating on social media capture the terrifying moment when partygoers were forced to flee for their lives as the structure failed catastrophically during a live band performance.

Dominican Republic’s Emergency Operations Center head Juan Manuel Mendez confirmed the tragedy’s devastating toll.

The incident has prompted a massive emergency response with 77 ambulances, eight fire trucks, and dozens of rescue personnel racing to the scene.

The death count includes a saxophone player from the band performing that night, while the fate of concert singer Rubby Perez remains unknown.

As rescue efforts continue, frantic family members have gathered outside the nightclub, desperate for information about loved ones.

The scale of the emergency response highlights the severity of the disaster.

About 200 National Police members and 50 soldiers have been deployed to assist with rescue operations, while eight hospitals were placed on red alert to receive the wounded.

According to journalist Anibelca Rosario, at least 125 people required medical attention at various health facilities.

Remarkably, reports indicate that some survivors have been communicating from beneath the debris, giving rescuers hope as they work tirelessly to free those still trapped.

Emergency services chief Juan Manuel Méndez emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting that dozens of ambulances were transporting multiple patients to different hospitals at the same time.

Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader expressed his condolences and assured the public that government agencies were fully engaged in rescue efforts.

The Jet Set Club disaster follows a troubling pattern of similar incidents worldwide, including a recent nightclub fire in North Macedonia that also resulted in multiple casualties.

As emergency personnel continue working around the clock to locate any remaining survivors, the Dominican Republic faces a difficult road ahead.

For now, the focus remains on accounting for all victims and providing support to grieving families caught in this unexpected nightmare while on what should have been a carefree night of entertainment.
