Leftists have scored a regrettable win in their attacks against law and order: they managed to separate Border Czar Tom Homan from his loved ones.
Homan has been forced to live separately from his wife due to escalating death threats against him and his family.
The man responsible for securing America’s border and enforcing immigration laws is now paying a steep personal price for his commitment to national security and following presidential orders to protect American citizens.
Homan revealed the heartbreaking situation during an interview on Miranda Devine’s “Pod Force One” podcast.
“My wife’s living separately from me right now, mainly because I worked for many hours, but mostly because of the death threats against me,” Homan disclosed.
“She’s someplace else. I see her as much as I can, but the death threats against me and my family are outrageous,” he continued.
The sacrifice comes as Homan spearheads President Trump’s border enforcement operations, which have successfully reduced illegal crossings to record lows according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data.
This dramatic improvement follows the catastrophic open-border policies of the Biden administration, which allowed millions of illegal aliens to pour into American communities.
Despite these personal challenges, Homan answered the call when President Donald Trump reached out after winning re-election.
Homan recalled:
“I was the first person he called, bringing back, which, again, was a proud moment, but I was actually out to dinner with my wife, and then my phone rang, and I looked down, and it says, ‘POTUS.’ And my wife says, ‘He’s asking him to come back, isn’t he?'”
Homan’s wife displayed remarkable resolution, encouraging him to accept the position despite the sacrifice.
“She said, ‘You need to go back or we’ll get divorced…because if you don’t go back, you’ll be waking up every day, pissed off that you didn’t go back, and I’ve gotta live with four more years of you being pissed off, so go back and do the job,'” Homan revealed.
The escalating threats against immigration officers have become so severe that ICE agents now wear masks to avoid being identified and doxed by leftist activists. Homan noted a 400% increase in assaults on federal officers.
Under Homan’s leadership, the Trump administration has deported about 200,000 illegal aliens, with ICE and DHS arresting over 100,000 people for immigration violations.
These enforcement actions have significantly reduced the flow of dangerous drugs, human trafficking, and criminal activity that plagued American communities during the previous administration.
When facing a thousand protesters at his home in Upstate New York, Homan remained resolute in his commitment to border security.
He has defended ICE operations in Democrat-controlled jurisdictions like Los Angeles, clarifying that many raids target criminal enterprises involved in money laundering and customs fraud, not just immigration violations.
Homan’s career spans three decades in border security, including service as a border patrol agent and in executive roles at ICE.
After retiring when his nomination for permanent ICE director was stalled in the Senate during President Trump’s first term, he became a Fox News contributor.
