Biden Signs Executive Order to Advance Women’s Health Studies

( – President Joe Biden has just signed an executive order that would allow further advancements in studying women’s health.

President Joe Biden has pushed for women’s health thanks to Vice President Kamala Harris who has made it a focus for the Biden campaign. Upon signing the executive order, Biden spoke to the republican party saying that they have “no clue the power of women” but that they are “about to find out” with the November election fast approaching.

Women’s health has been one of the most underpaid and understudied areas in healthcare resulting in a huge gap in studies. In fact, it wasn’t until the 90s that the government gave women’s health a piece of funding for research.

Dr. Carolyn Mazure, who is the head of the White House initiative on women’s health expressed the need for this, saying, “We still know too little about how to effectively prevent, diagnose, and treat a wide array of health conditions in women.”

Biden has promised to increase the research on women’s health as they discover the differences between men and women when it comes to certain illnesses, and he has said that he would focus on representing women equally.

Said Biden, “To state the obvious, women are half the population and underrepresented across the board. But not in my administration.”

He also spoke about the “power of research” and how he’s always believed that this was the best way to save lives. Biden is pushing the narrative of including females throughout his entire campaign, right up until election day; his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, is organizing female voters to take to the polls this upcoming election.

The push for women’s health and women’s rights has been a prominent topic since the overturning of Roe vs. Wade. This has led to an uproar of women who feel like they’re being stripped of their rights. This made way for political leaders to make this the forefront of their campaigns and a new reason for voters to choose one party over another. This may sway many as the Republicans and Democrats see things on completely opposite sides when it comes to women’s health and abortion rights.
